Use of Certification Marks and Accreditation Symbols
The NIOSHCert Certification Mark can be used for quality, environment, health and safety and other management system by any client certified by NIOSHCert, upon approval of their certification, in accordance with the specified instructions and guidelines.
The conditions on the use of the Certification Mark and Accreditation Symbols are as follows:
- The mark is NOT to be used on a product, primary product packing, on calibration certificates or on certificates of conformity or in any way that may be interpreted as denoting product conformity.
- The mark is NOT to be used on sites or activities not included in the scope of certification, or by licensees of a certified organisation or in any misleading manner.
- The mark MUST conform to requirements of NIOSHCert in communication media including both print and online communications, brochures or advertising, or other documents. The Client is required to withdraw or amend all advertising materials upon withdrawal, reduction or cancellation of the scope of certification.
The Client (organisation) must NOT:
- Make or permit any misleading statement/s regarding its certification;
- Use or permit the use of a certification document o any part thereof in a misleading manner;
- Apply the certification to activities that are outside the scope of its certification;
- Use the organisation’s certification in a manner that would disrepute NIOSH Certification and cause loss of public trust; and
- Imply or state that the NIOSHCert certifies a product (including service or process).
The Client (organisation) MUST:
- Upon suspension or withdrawal of its certification, discontinue its use of all advertising materials that contain a reference to the certification.
ISCC Logo and Claims
- Certified ISCC System Users may use the ISCC logo and claims for relevant communications and documentation following a written request to ISCC.
- The ISCC seal must not be used for any application other than the ISCC certificate.
- If the System User wishes to use the logo in any other way, NIOSH Certification shall inform ISCC of this accordingly.
Misuse of Logo or Marks
- Flagrant and/or persistent misuse of the marks or Symbols can be considered grounds for suspension and/or withdrawal of certification
- Certified organization shall immediately cease to issue any materials or documentation containing the marks or symbols following withdrawal, suspension or termination of certification.
- If a company decides to resign its certificates it must immediately cease issue of any materials that suggest it is still certificated and return the certificate to the local office
Claims and Declarations
- The organizations should not make claims or declaration that are not true or give the impression that the organization, parts of the organization or its subsidiaries, sites and associates are certificated for activities or services when they are not
- The marks, symbols, claims, or declaration should not be used in a way as to imply that NIOSH Certification or “STANDARDS MALAYSIA” accepts responsibilities for activities carried out under the scope of the certification.
