First-Party Audit

Many internal audit functions use a third-party service provider at some stage to carry out either part of their review work or provide technical skills that do not exist in-house.

Why outsource to NIOSHCert?

  • Lack of technical capability in-house

Second-Party Audit

Second-party audit is more commonly known as the Supplier Audit, which is an audit of another organisation’s management system – not under direct control or within the auditing organisation’s structure. It is an effective way for an organisation to preserve and enhance customer loyalty – through ensuring consistent levels of services throughout the organisation.

Why outsource to NIOSHCert?

  • NIOSHCert is able to provide valuable inputs for your organisation’s continuous improvement plan and supplier selection process.

Pre-assessment Audit

A pre-assessment audit is an audit conducted prior to an actual certification audit to determine the degree of conformance of an organization’s management system(s) with the requirements of a standard it aims to be certified in (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, etc.). Many organisations choose to engage a Consultant to conduct an independent pre-assessment audit as it allows the organisation to determine its readiness and identify any non-conformities and implement the corrective actions before an actual certification audit takes place. The auditor(s) will conduct activities such as documentation review, process review, interview of process owners, etc, in order to gather the necessary information that evidence compliance.

The benefits of a Pre-assessment audit include:

  • Allows the identification of any non-conformities and implement corrective actions, as part of the preparation for the certification audit.
  • Allows the organisation to allocate its resources to focus on weaknesses that might lead to non-conformities.
  • Allows the organisations to assess the level or readiness for a certification audit – either postpone a scheduled certification audit, or have increased confidence in going through the certification audit.
  • Helps organisations avoid unnecessary additional costs.
