Impartiality Policy


NIOSH Certification is responsible for the impartiality of its conformity assessment activities and does not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise impartiality.

NIOSH Certification is committed and understands the importance of impartiality in carrying out the management system certification activities, the conflict of interest and ensuring the objectivity of it.

NIOSH Certification has a process to identify, analyse, evaluate, treat, monitor, and document the risks related to conflict of interests arising from the provision of certification including any conflicts arising from its ongoing relationships, whether they arise from within NIOSH Certification or from the activities of other persons, bodies or organisations.

The risk assessment process includes identification of and consultation on the establishment of an Industrial Committee, consists of key interest area to advice on matters affecting impartiality including openness and public perception.

All NIOSH Certification personnel, either internal or external, or committees, who could influence the certification activities, are required to act impartially and shall not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise their impartiality.

NIOSH Certification requires personnel, internal and external, to reveal any situation known to them that can present them or NIOSH Certification with a conflict of interests.
